Flake is the workhorse of epoxy flooring, and the system we install most. Vinyl flake is broadcast into the wet base coat until the floor literally can't hold any more — full rejection — then scraped, vacuumed, and locked under a chemical-resistant topcoat.
The result hides dust and dirt between cleanings, adds slip resistance, and takes decades of real use. Flake blends run from quiet grays to custom color mixes, so the floor can disappear into the space or make it.
Broadcast to full rejection
Partial-broadcast floors show roller lines and wear paths. Full rejection means complete, uniform coverage everywhere.
Texture that works
Flake gives grip underfoot without becoming a cheese grater — and we can tune it with anti-slip additive where needed.
Forgiving in real life
The multi-tone surface hides pollen, pine needles, and sand between cleanings better than any solid color can.
How is this different from a DIY epoxy kit?+
Kits are a thin paint with sprinkled flake over unground concrete — they peel because nothing bonded. We diamond-grind the slab, use commercial-grade resins, and broadcast to full rejection. It's a different product entirely.
What colors are available?+
Dozens of standard blends from grays and tans to bold custom mixes. We bring samples to the estimate so you can see them on-site, in your light.
How do I clean it?+
Dust mop or hose it out. No waxing, no sealing schedule, no special products.
