The process
What a custom & specialty job involves
Specialty work is won on details. Kennel runs need cove transitions up the wall and slopes that carry water to the drain. Concrete stairs need treads and nosings coated so they are grippy in ice season. Sunrooms and camps often have granite ledge, fieldstone or cobblestone running into the slab, and those transitions are cut and finished by hand.
The process underneath is the same as every floor we install: diamond grinding, repairs, moisture control where needed, then a seamless system — usually flake, with anti-slip aggregate where the surface will be wet. Send photos first; we will tell you straight whether coating is the right answer before we come out.
What moves the price
Specialty jobs are priced on detail more than area: linear feet of cove, number of stair treads and landings, drain slopes, and edge terminations against stone or wood.
Surface preparation on older concrete and any moisture work add to that. Photos help us give a realistic range, and the walkthrough turns it into a firm number with no surprises on pour day.
Most specialty floors are built on our flake epoxy system; kennel and clinic work overlaps with our commercial and industrial coatings. Camp garages and stairs often come alongside a garage floor coating. We take specialty jobs around the lakes — Casco, Naples, Raymond, Standish — and throughout our service area.

Often, yes — stairs, landings, curbs, and cove walls are all standard work. Send a photo and we'll tell you straight whether coating is the right answer.
Do you do kennels and vet spaces?+
Yes — seamless flake systems with cove-ready edges are ideal for kennels, grooming areas, and clinics that get washed down daily.
We have a weird slab. Should we even call?+
Weird slabs are the fun ones. Worst case, we look at it and tell you coating isn't the right fix — that advice is free.
Can you coat a camp or sunroom?+
Yes. Lake-region camps, sunrooms, and granite-ledge transitions are jobs we take regularly from Casco through the Sebago towns.
